so what’s this all about?
Take a second, and think about when was the last time you used the printed version of yellow pages to find contact information… or a printed encyclopedia over wikipedia.org when you wondered about something.
Yet, some companies don’t seem to understand. About 10.000.000 copies of yellow pages were pushed out to households & offices in sweden this year.
We’re flabbergasted when they showed up a few weeks ago. We’re presuming, perhaps inappropriately, that you too, wonder what you’ll use it for.
And we mean proper use, not that you used it to prop up a chair or dry the inside of your shoes or something.
We figured, why not do some experimentation? They all lay there, by your entrance, waiting to get used, in ANY way.
_yellow collection_ is an experiment in user-driven public art. We are using the internet to coordinate the collection and the actual execution of this art project. Instead of us making all the decisions on what to do, or build with all these yellow bricks, we’d like to involve you in this fun.
Come and play with us, see what we can do with these. We believe we can make wonders with them.
What would you do with 10 yellow pages? 100 yellow pages, 10.000 yellow pages? Take a second to think about it.
So, if you’ve got a spare yellow brick, don’t throw it away – it can become art.
Now, let’s play some funk!
